Directions from Base:

Basically you be heading to the Kintai or the Entrance to the Sanyo Expressway in Iwakuni
so if you know the way to there skip to next set of instructions

Go strait through Four Corners to 3 Corners where you will turn Left.

 Immediately after turning you will turn right
 at the signal 50ft/18m from where you just
 turned.

You will follow this narrow road over a bridge crossing the Imazu River where
shortly after crossing the road will end a "T" intersection with a traffic signal

You follow this road through 2 traffic signals
past a Marukyu supermarket on the right just
before crossing over railroad tracks.

Immediately after crossing the railroad tracks you will come to a big intersection
between 2 gas stations where you will turn left but make sure to get into the right
lane as you will be veering right in a big "Y" intersection at the next traffic signal
300ft/100m down.

There is a big blue Netz billboard in middle of the "Y" and
beneath that there is a white sign on top of a blue one pointing to the Kintai.

You will then travel
down this road
through 3 traffic
signals. At the fourth
traffic signal.
　

There will be another big "Y" intersection with a pedestrian overpass crossing
 over the whole intersection and a spiral access in the middle.  You should see a
 blue sign before reaching the intersection indicating the direction.

Follow Rte. 2 through a tunnel and past a 7-11 on your Left ( This is the last convenience store along the way so make you last minute shopping here) at the second traffic signal after the 7-11 you will turn LEFT onto Rte 1 that parallels Rte. 2 but is faster.  Follow this along the river veering right to where it ends at a T intersection next to a bridge.  Turn RIGHT and about 100m down there will be big intersection to where you will turn LEFT to get back onto Rte. 2 (Right is the entrance to the Sanyo Expressway)

You will travel down Route 2 for about 5 km where you will come to the next traffic signal. At this intersection you will turn RIGHT onto Route 187 there will be a blue sign indicating the turn.  You will want to follow the direction to Muikaichi 六日市

You will travel along Route 187 a long way following the contour of the Nishiki River passing turns for Route 5 and turns on both sides for Route 69 (I know everyone will want to turn here but resist your urges) continue straight until Route 434.  Pay attention as there will be a turn for Route 434 on the Left before the actual turn you will take.

Continue past this turn, past a rest area with a big parking lot on the right called Pure Line.  About 2km down will be a turn for Route 434 on the right.  Here is where you will turn RIGHT there will be a Jomo gas station at the intersection on the right. 

There will also be a white sign with blue lettering with 2 Onsen symbols on it one is the name of where we are staying Fukatani-Kyou Spa.  It's 14km from this turn so check your odometers. Start Marks will begin here.

You will travel down Route 434 following the contour of the Nishiki River through 2 tunnels, after the tunnels, as you get close to your turn off of Route 434 you will see a small Cosmo and ENEOS gas stations on your right.  At this point you the river will be on your left.  On the opposite side of the river you will see a pink elementary school building with a small narrow bridge crossing the river just before it.  Your turn will be about 500m down on the left again their will be a white sign indicating the LEFT turn which will take you over a bridge

At the other end of the bridge you will take an immediate RIGHT.

About 100m down you will come to Y intersection in some houses where you will want to veer RIGHT along the narrow road until it opens back up. 

The Onsen parking lot is on the right and just past the hill on the left is parking for the cabins.  This is start. There will 5 log cabins along the bank of the river.  You can't miss it.
