Directions to Nakanoura (Kaisuiyoku Jou) Beach Bathing Area, Kaminoseki ΜYC κΙγΦ To assist in your direction choices here are the two sets of Kanji you see on signs in case you get lost, though it is pretty strait forward with few turns Kaminoseki γΦ And once on the island Nakanoura, mYiC κj(Beach Bathing Area) @
From base turn Left at 4 corners onto Route 188 and follow it for 32km until your next turn in Yanai. You will be following Route 188 along the coast most of the whole way. Itfs actually a beautiful drive. You'll pass by Oshima Island on your left and go under the tall bridge leading to it. Keep following the road through the small town back out onto the coast as you start driving back into an developed area you will be in Yanai. There will be a 7-11 on the left at a traffic signal. At the forth traffic signal after that you will arrive at huge intersection with 5 roads there will be a Nafco across the way next to Plaza Ace Pachinko Parlor. It's 32km from the turn at Four Corners. You Me town will be just beyond
that. Go strait through (you actually be veering right)At the next traffic
signal after passing You Me town on your left you will turn left onto Route 72.
@ There be a blue sign indicating the turn with a white sign after that pointing the same direction towards the Sanatorium

@ You will go over a bridge and arrive at another traffic signal where you will want to turn LEFT again following Route 72 along the coast. @ @ @ @ Along the way there will be a place in the road where there is alternating traffic due to part of the road having been washed away from last years typhoons. Route 72 will go through a tunnel and after that the main road will head inland, Route 72 will actually continue along the coast. Stay on the main road heading inland as it crosses over to the other side of the peninsula You won't have to turn. Upon arriving to the other side of the peninsula you will turn LEFT (4th and final left from base) at the T intersection there will be a blue sign indicating the direction to Kaminoseki.
Follow this
road along the coast you are now on Route 23. The road will narrow as you
arrive in a small town just before the bridge to Kaminoseki follow the road
through the town until you come back out to the water you should soon see the
bridge of to the left. @ Blue Sign Indicating Direction The road will
wind around the coast and under it to circle back up a hill to take you across.
Once across the bridge you will want to veer RIGHT and follow the road back down
to the coast which will be on your right.
@ @ @ @ @ Follow this narrow road around the island through the small town until the end of it keeping right the whole way. There will be a point where it looks as if the main road goes to the left but you'll want to veer RIGHT on the narrow road.
@ Continue past the Hikari Kumage Fish Hatchery which will be on the right. Continue all the way to the end of the road. Nakano will be at the end of this road There will be 3 large circular pavilions that look like big umbrellas. You canft miss since you really canft drive any further (well not much further)
